:: In Predicament of Pain ::Went for my last training session with my mad body pump trainer today.. sigh.. all the hard work had better start showing by the time i reach spore... so stressed.. everyone expecting to see a smaller version of eve... crap..
Not sure if would be able to lift a spoon tmrw.. haha but I am well prepared for it tis time!!! i bought a tube of muscle relieving cream... will apply later muahahha... so that I will reduce the effect... so far so good today.. still in a piece...

*whine* why do i always get grp mates which are not so co-operative.. sigh.. how how how.. the research presentation is practically done, but my kanchiong spider grp mate keep asking me "wha do you think"... she did not do very well for her last assignment, so i do not blame her for being a bit tense.. however, wha can i say "erm thinks its needs more touch to it" excuuussseee me but i really do not hv the time to add more things to it, coz I hv another assignment due... i am quite weary to say "yup tha is okay" coz in the event we dun do well, hmmm will i get blamed for sayin that??!!! sigh... *diliema** oh well now to focus on the last assignment...

btw my lecturer for marketing foundations is REALLY GREAT!!! the exam tips tha he gives is not just TIPS. He tells us wha the 8 topics that the question will be on, out of which we have to answer 4. He is like "I dun play games, these are the topics for the exam, you can just study the 4 that you want to write on, or to play safe 5" He tells us which topic to read the txt and lecutre notes, which other topics we shld read the additional article readings...Like it is just short of giving us the actual questions!!! if only all my units are like that.. exams wld be much of a breezeeee.....

:: Love ::Last night at bible study, what really spoke to me was how do we really approach our Christian friends with certain issues that we feel strongly abt them... i think it is a fine line between judging them and coming to them in love... sometimes we tell ourselves that our motive is loving them, but are we really judging them???
I do admit that there are certain issues that i hv with sme of my christians... even in my workplace previously.. but how should we approach them and not hurt them... if i were the person in the situation, i wld want my friends to come upfront and let me know wha they think... of course not in a confrontational way... and I wld listen to them. But then again not everyone wants it the same way...
Guess that was indeed the topic of the day that God wans me to know.. even my table calendar says this " Each of us should keep a large cemetery inwhich to bury the faults of our friends" " Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins" 1 Peter 4:8
I know that I hv been a task driven person ever since I started working.. yes I hv learnt to be efficient, but there are cons to tha as well. As John Eldredge quotes Gerald May "By worshipping efficiency, the human race has achieved the highest level of efficiency in history, but how much have we grown in love." He then goes on to talk about how we have also applied tha in our Christian.. are we too caught up "doing the right (Chrisitiany) things"??? where is our heart?? is it in the right place.. i know mine is kinda running out of place...

:: Pain ::I cld not believe wha my trainer brought me through today.... Gosh, l felt as though l had lost my arm, like they dun belong to me anymore, they hv gone on strike... U get the idea.... she asked wha areas did i wan to work on.... I replied my arms and ab muscles....boy did l get a workout on these areas!
for this reason also, l had decided to change tmrw hmcell menu to baked macaroni... Lou & l planned 2 do fried chicken rice (self created as u can see)
:: Groceries ::
Some how i am starting to understand how come my dad can head of to NTUC every other day... i used to think.. Got so many things to buy meah??!!! oh well believe it or not... hv been heading to Safeway supermarket every other day for the last 5 days... *diaong* and everytime i will buy something from there...
Was there to buy the ingredients for tmrw's menu... had to carry hm the food stuff with my tired arms.. believe or not, they are still aching now as i am typing away...

Guess its e normal procedures of a student. why r e last few lectures soooooo BORiNG!!!.. I think its e conspiracy of e lecturers... Torturing us on purpose...

Received a prayer request from S'pore today... It certainly was a link 2 my last blog topic... One of my extended cell members has decided to pursue his dream of being a director... Taking baby steps now of acting & taking script writing classes... He was also working for his dad aft grad... & today he broke the news to his dad abt not being able to help in e biz fr now on.. In simple wds, he resigned.... His dad was sort of unhappy but did not object either...
Pls pray tha his dad will give full blessings & understanding tha my friend still love n respects him...

:: We only live life once ::Got a mail fr my friend saying that she would like to hv an extreme life "either to have a baby or not getting married at all" I presume the getting a baby part without the presence of a husband... hmmm why do we think of things like tha... are we truly bored.
At times we tend to forget that God is in control.. of course we are given a choice: to obey or disobey Him... When things go wrong when we disobey Him (not that I am encouraging) we have to take human responsibility for the choice that we make... I have learnt it through the hard way that God's way is sometimes the fastest way... at the end of my experience, the ending is the same. Standing at that junction of decision, i would think that disobeying God was the easy way out. Boy was I wrong... it certainly took more pain and heartbreak...
There are so many things that I wan to accomplish in my time here in Mel, and it is coming to one-third of it already... not much can be ticked off my list as yet... Not being an 'A' student in my secondary and tertiary sch days, I decided that if i were to hv a second chance to study, I wan to do much better... hmmm but I think it is really not me... guess I will just be satisfied being my media gal, coming up with creative and effective campaigns... and hopefully win an award or two...
Just thinking of my friend in S'pore who is working, serving in 2 ministries and takin courses for self-improvment and for his ministry.. opps not forgetting time for dating as well... Whao I am amazed... well than we only live once and I wan to live life to the FULLEST!!!

:: Yums (again) ::My hsehold and PRs seemed to be on a Japanese craze roll... made sushi as planned for lunch this avro, I must say our Onigiri was not too bad at all... think I will make for my S'pore cell when I get bk... tempted to set up a food stall so that we can sell all the yummy food that we can make...
Occured to me that becoz we are in a foreign country, good asian food is on demand. For example, i wld never tot of making bah ku teh, bak chor mee, chick rice when I am bk in S'pore, Why?? Coz I can easily walk down to the coffee shop to get them, why waste so much effort making them? there are so many nice ones available easily too...
on the other hand, why dun we seek good western food since it is available here? hmmm and we pay so much more in bk hm to get good ones... tok abt contridictory...

Watched first two disk of the series this avro... used to hv a fear abt understanding and knowing the end times... but aft knowing that that fear is instilled by the devil, i am conquering and overcoming that fear...
Now i understand why many ppl were say that it is a good series, it is indeed interesting to come fr a "mythical" (defined by John Eldredge as story telling way of expressing events) point of view... will prob head out to get the first book (or borrow fr Su) for more details...

Was plannin to go gym today but since it was a friday, i had a reason to nua... so su and i decided to skip it today and go for pilates tmrw... muahahah so in the end su spent the aft and evenin at our place.. was suppose to do work but I think we got very distracted in the end...
yeah!! my hsemate made OYAKO don today for dins.. it was yummy.. *burp* it was the start of my urge for jap food again... so we decided to hv sushi lunch tmrw.. HOMEMADE... me and su happily tracked of to vic mart to buy the ingredients.. yeah.. hmm maybe will take pics of wha we make tmrw and post here.. to show that we are good jap chefs!!!

:: Oh happy day!! ::Yeah!! this is the day that I got my 3 phone!! Erm to those non-melbournians, its another telco...which means i have two telephone line now... well those who are not familiar will ask "why in the world wld you need 2 phones?!!!"... in simple terms, the 3 line connected at Mel uni, allows 3 users to call other 3 users FREE for 10 mins anytime of the day...
muahahah didn't intend to get when they talked abt it 3 mths bk (when I first touched down in Melbourne) coz i didn;t think 1.5 yrs wld justify the buy...
the ppl tha I hang out in Mel (who i call the most) hv recently purchased 3 phones... therefore it was a good chance for FREE calls and there's no monthly charges as well...
As for my second line, i will downgrade the plan coz I am not going to use as much.. this means I hv to carry two phones with me... Daddy, I didn;t charge it, got budget for it so dun worry yah... am still in love with the samsung phone, still intending to get one...
The second happy thing is, I paid for my airtic today!! yeah!! Can't wait to go bk s'pore... Karaoke here i come!!

:: Bad design ::I think I've had enough of it!! How non-practical train design can they make!!! Today I just so happened to hop on one of the new trains which they hv just launched recently.. I really dun understand why they cannot change the sitting arrangments of the train so that there is more standing area... seen the 3 evolution of trains and all they add in is more glass and now the button push (instead of the manually opened) doors...
Also there is LITTLE standing area along the aisle with, not only that ppl are not willing to stand there coz there is practically nothing to hang on...It was SUPER DUPER and unbelievably crowded when I went to sch today... *arrggghhh* frustration...
Am i too critical or am i just too pampered by the well designed and clean MRTs of S'pore??!!!
:: 99% can be bk in S'pore on the 25th!! ::
Spoke to my lecturer aft class today.. she was saying quite a number of ppl requested as well... erm more like due to work commitments, and not like me (i just told her that I booked my air tic for 24th, tha's abt it).. and it is going to be before 24th!!! she will let us know the date again.. yeah!! will wait for a final confirmation before I announce to my cell in Spore.. :V

Why am i so sleepppyyyy... am doing my assignment now.. not relly rushing coz decided not to meet the deadline.. hahah this is postgrad, they are more lenient and I am making the fullest use of it!! muahahah erm actually that is not right.. but I will blame it on the weather this time...
yawns... slept for 9 hrs last night and still does not seem to hv any effect on me at all.. nope not feelin fresher or brighter.. think its the nice cool weather here... just feel like jumpin into bed and sleep again.. CANNOT!! CONTROL!!

:: New hair (yes again..its been 1.5 mths) ::
Decided that I shld get a trim on my hair before the true mugging for exams start.. didn;t wanna look like hay-haired with i go for my exam.. (okay fine, hiao okie) hahaha...the whole gang was there for haircuts at Soho today.. Me, Gie and Lou participated whilst Su and Viv were spectators... Chad was the invigilator for Gie's stylist.. haha
Lou's cut was imprompto... and got a cut from my stylist.. keepin in mind these are Hongkie stylist, they would usually give like funky haircuts.. I think Lou's new look is good...more stylish. Dun worry gal, it takes sme time to fall in love with it...coz I did!! I loved it so much tha i requested for the exact same cut this time...
When we stepped out of the shop we started takin pictures with Su's and Lou's phone on the streets!! how mad can we get.. hahah...will try to post it here when Su downloads them..
Good to hear that you guys in S'pore had sunny fun at finding Nemo, or shld i say, finding Chung Hao.. haha.. I think Euguene shld charge for advertising fee fr CH....

:: I Love Cooking ::My poor hsemates and PRs became my guinea pigs for the past two days.. tried my hands on cooking smething which I hv never cooked before.. first was Jo's recipe of chicken rice.. which we cooked for lunch yesterday...it turned out quite well i must say.. haha thanks Gie for the Soya Chicken... i think we make a great team...
The second dish was bah chor mee.. this one i really never tried before EVER.. muahaha bought mee pok and was thinkin wha I could cook with it... and thought of all the ingredients i could put into it... special credits to my special assistants Su and Gie... helped to stir and cut all the many ingredients that went into the dish..
Ohh not forgettin the impulse banana cake tha we baked to.. it was YUMSssss...
Wayyyyyy too full now..*burp* thank goodness I worked out this morning...

:: Apologies and second thoughts ::Sorry abt the sudden outburst on yesterday's blog.. just stressed out i think... All is good (oh well at least for tonight) haha .. takin a break.. will work on my other assignment tmrw.. that is another marketing plan due on Monday. Oh well besides that, there are other two group assignments to complete too!!
I am really starting to think that though I love media and marketing, I simply am not cut out to study marketing.. its too theorical based, so much so that it is killing me!! arrgghh.. will look at some other options at Mel uni, somewhere along the creative line where i can let my creative juices flow...

Its been a home cooking and eating day.. cooked pasta lunch for my dearest hsemates (PRs included) and then they cooked dinner for me... so sweet.. many many thanks to Chad for always doing the washing... oh gie baked an apple spice cake too... erm i would say it turned out alright except that we need a weighin machine to get the right proportions of flour...

:: I am back!! ::Yes yes back to the cold weather in Melbourne... Thank God for the great weather in Perth, oh except on the last day where a storm was starting... Had a good time with my parents there... was mostly driving around, trying to cover as many places as possible.. erm it was more an eating trip than relaxin i must say.. Thank goodness I worked out before I went over...Here's a quick run down of 4 day happenings:
1st day
- Car rental fiesco
had forgotten my confirmation no for my internet booking with Hertz, reached the airport n was told that I was under the age limit of 25 to rent. I was like "but on the booking it says under 25 yrs there's a additional charge" Anyways, i saved my breath from an argument and decided to rent from another company. All is good as they gave me discount since I was a Virgin Blue traveller. First time driving a auto car and also first time drivin a non-hatch bk car!!
- Surburb night shopping @ booragoon. Bought a fantabulous Miss Muad cake.. can only be found in Perth!!
- Dinner. Had the yummy snow crab @ James St kitchen. Something that cannot be missed!!
2nd day
- Woke up slightly later and went to Viet Hoa (Vietnamese food) for lunch.
- Aft lunch we drove round East Perth for Hse watching.. they were all very nice, took quite a number of pics...uploaded to yahoo already..
- Aft deciding which hse we wanted (not that we are ever going to buy one) we drove all the way up to Joondalup...
- Came bk to the City for some night shopping. This is where I spotted Su's birks.. muhaha called her but she was at OCF.. when I finally got her and went bk to the shop, it was CLOSED!! oh well, decided to come bk on sat...
- Had nice Italian dinner at Spaghi Millpoint (near where I stayed, by the riverside). Had nice grilled mushroom salad...
3rd day
- Aft nice Dome breakfast, we tracked off to the city to get Su's Birks.. opps should i say Su's and Eve's Birks... haha got so attracted to one tha I just had to get it..
- All happy with my Birks, we headed off to Frementle for Fish & Chips. Also bought a cooked lobster for $18.. specially for dinner.
- Met Val, Winthrop & Herman @ Oriels for coffee... had a good time catching up...
4th day
Horrible rainy, stormy day
- Lunch @ Viet Hoa again coz its Mother's day & mum loves it so much....
- Had a small argument w Dad abt where we were heading b4 going 2 airport as we had a bit of time on our hands... Wanted 2 go to Cottesloe coz i missed e pla but Dad said too far... Later @ e airport Mum told me tha Dad was worried that I am tired so didn;t wan me to drive all the way there.. sob sob... i felt really bad that I had misunderstood him...
:: Restoration of Friendships ::
Melbourne seems like a place for restoration of friendships for me... first it was rebecca at the beginning of this year.. how we just felt weird abt not contacting each other anymore since we left Gartshore..
Then again just before I left for Perth, i got a msg on friendster that Inez is in Mel for a visit... she is my best pal in Perth, we went through EVERYTHING together, then aft both of us starting working in the 24 hour advertising industry, we just lost touch aft a while.. I really missed her.. so happy that she is here.. will try to spare some time to meet up and with her..

Spoke to my spore friend last night.. his cell member has just given birth and suddenly realised that their baby had genetic disorder.. it was not detected prior to the birth.. it is indeed a big shock to them... for those reading, please keep them in prayer... believed that our God is BIG and will do a miracle!!
This is one guy friend which I can like totally whine too and vice versa... strangely enough we hv not known each other for a long time but we get along very well, to the extend of sisterhood.. (erm it is not wha you guys think it is.. but it is the same feeling) It is a strange friendship which I never had before...but I thank God that He has placed him in my life...

:: My First Time ::@ Pilates today!! haha went with my gym partner and both of us were strugglin when we had to lift ourselves sideways!! gave up aft the 3rd try.. hehe no problems with flexibility though.. it certianly worked my abs area...

Think i am so involved with the Apple brand that even aft leavin the client for close to 3 mths.. i still write most of my assignments on the brand... haha even to the extend that when Gie realised that she had a marketin assignment due, the first word tha I would say is Apple!!
It would be quite a shock to most ppl that despite me going on and on and on abt Apple, i am not ready to purchase an Apple... iPod is not considered as Apple okie.. so tha's a different story.. give me an iPod anytime..

:: Shopping, Shopping and erm.. more shopping!! ::Yeah!! had a great aft shopping with viven at bridge rd.. muahaha (su and lou: I can so imagine that jealous face *W*) My parents was suppose to bring a overcoat fr s'pore for me.. but I found such a nice one with a hood to shield me fr the inconsistent Melbourne rain, I just could not resist. Also bought my mum a nice pyjamas which was on sale... will pass to her when I get to Perth..
Was super tired aft tha workout... not forgetting that I went to Fitness First in the morning for a cardio workout... Words of a not-so-wise bro (hehe, not that he wld ever read tis): "Joining a gym is easy, its the regular workout tha is the hard part"

The guy clothes in Mel is simply AWESOME!!! as i was shopping today... i really felt such a waste not hving some male to buy for... ermm did consider my dad of course.. but the clothes were too funky for his quiet taste.. hehe
Mental Note: definately must bring my future husband here for shopping trips....
No work done today.. gave myself a holiday..
