:: Su lookalike no more ::Went for new hair cut today afterwork... Every time Su and I get a haircut, everyone seens to say that we lookalike!! irregardless of whether we had the same stylist, same length... maybe its the face shape...
I realised that its been quite some time since i took a pic on my own after my haircuts... for the past 1.5 yrs, it was always taken with Su... :(
Decided to try a new stylist... and i realised no matter who i go to, what kind of cut i ask for, i always end up looking the same.... except the length... oh well, guess i can't really complain, so long as i dun get bad horrid looking results...
Ever went to the docs and felt like you were in a candy store? yups.. tha's how i felt when i went to the docs yesterday for my irritating throat infection. He showed me various brands of antibiotics and telling me the various prices... its like if you wan a better candy that has a better fragrance, you gotta pay for premium price... if not, you take this cheap looking and the taste does not linger as long..

:: Free calls?? Wha rubbish ::Think you are enjoying free incoming calls? dun be tricked by them... if you look at your phone bill, they still charge your incoming calls and deduct it from your free calls entitlement.... wha's the diff then? they had previously charged me for my incoming calls too... so its not exactly free isn't it...
Look at Australia's meaning of free incoming calls... they dun even calculate how much your incoming calls are amounted to... its not included... no gimicks, just plan FREE...
I am a unhappy consumer now.. but there's no switching choice, i think all the telcos do the same thing... Please look closely at your bills people...

:: Weekends are good ::
Spent the sat afternoon being a tourist.. went to visit the Jurong Bird Park!! Rebecca had a corporate pass and 4 of us were entitled to free entry... though we went in the late afternoon, we managed to catch 2 great bird shows and walked around the whole area..
of course i took the opportunity to play with my new cam... took quite a number of pics, but only posted some nice ones...
I went to Da Paolo's deli for lunch with my cell members today... the pizza was good... excellent gelato too!!
weekends are good when you dun have much planned... taking it slow...
also realised that i have not met up with my extended cell ppl for a fortnight... they have all started attending YAS on sat, and it so happened that I have been meetin up with other friends in the past 2 sat... I miss the bunch, really hope we can resume our "activities" soon...

Think that women's mind is difficult to understand, so they carried out a syndicated research to explore the inner thoughts of females...
Clients and media owners were invited to the research presentation, held at Pan Pacific hotel this afternoon... All employees were to play host to the clients, and were instructed to dress in black (as you can see in the pic)...
Long long day for me... meetings in the morning and played host in the afternoon... the event ended around 6pm and off we went to the shops!! to prove tha they had the research results right - Gals enjoy shopping!!! Enjoy the pics... btw, they are taken with my very very own Mju800!!!

:: Nerves ::Was all hyped up, serious and nervous about a new business presentation yesterday... but in the end it was cancelled!! thank goodness my boss called the agency before we got onto a cab... in the end, i had to go for another client's meeting...
My dad asked me this morning "why so many meetings?" Come to think of it... i dun usually go for so many client's meetings previously... oh well, must be the time of the year where we present mid year reviews... i guess its also coz they want to introduce me to the clients face to face...
Weekend was good... met up with viv who was back in town for a couple of days... coffee with galfriends are always a JOY... catching up as well as sharing about ourselves...

Watched 7 swords, a Tsui Hark film last night...
It was beautifully shot but some of the scenes were tat bit too gruesome for me... the storyline flowed well, very engaging and it din feel like a drag to watch...
Looks like Shanghai is likely not to happen in Nov... coz its winter time then, and thus shopping would not be as good... EC and I are considering other options... Taiwan, Hong Kong or maybe India?!?! I am quite excited abt cheap trips, you know a bit of backpacking kind... I wanna explore places which are not convenient to go with my parents, the kind of rough-it-out kind of trip as compared to the nice transport system, nice environment, nice accomodation kinda...

:: Retail therapy ::ended my wkend with 3 new buys... muahaha went shopping with mum and managed to get my pair of black covered shoes to wear for my graduation ceremony... shopping is not as fun as in Melb... I wanna fly bk there for shopping >< Oh yes, i cooked seafood penne in pesto sauce for dinner last night, it was good... think i am into pesto sauce now since cream based ones are too "heavy"
On the other hand viv is comin bk to spore for the wkend... she's bringin me my supply of Aesop products.... Thanks dearie...

:: Siew mai... char siew bao.. ::Went to watch Dim Sum Dollies at esplanade with Ade today... went for the matinee show... arrived at the box office half an hr to the show, so as to enjoy the 50% discount which ade was entitled to as a Wild Rice production member... The show was hilarious... the stage, costume and music were beautifully presented... however i felt that the content was too slightly too R-rated, and not suitable for young kids...
However, the day was spent beautifully with Ade.... we went to watch her church friend play lounge music at Center stage (Marina square) ... She was the painist with two other musicians... It was a night of music... catching up... and just chill
Still planning of what activities to take up first... checked out keyboard lessons and it starts in Sep.... Ade posted an impt question: why do i wanna take it up.... i tot real hard abt it and felt that i dun wanna be just a vocalist... i wanna be able to contribute to the band when we have jamming sessions...
Golf is the other activity planned... we are still looking for a 4th member to join the team... i took golf lessons quite a number of years back.. but never did actually complete it. I guess i wanna take it up again so that at least there is sort of completion to wha i have started... dun wanna leave it hanging...
To sum up: The week has been hectic... not so much of meetin major deadlines as yet.. but more of meetin up with clients, gettin to know them... setting directions for myself as well as for those that i will be working closely with....
Had a BBQ with the old work gang last night at florence's hse... it was to celebrate EC's and Irene's belated bday... we opened a time capsule which we wrote in 2003 and had a good time review and evaluating the goals we had previously... quite a number of us fulfilled at least 2 of them!! A new time capsule was also written and will be revealed on Christmas 2006!!

:: Weekend is ending ::Monday blues?? i dun know... coz tues is a holiday... i really need to catch up with the much needed sleep which i din do much this weekend... Went to botanical gardens and hung out with my church groupie (i really should find a better terminology for this special group of friends, but let's just use this for now) till late... photo session is a must, will post them up with i have downloaded them...we gave Festival of Praise a miss though...
Was speaking to a friend, who asked how i felt abt my homecoming after one month... its been a trade off, gaining certain things which i missed when i left Spore for Melb and letting go some of the things that i have gained in Melb... God is good, the transition has been easier with my family and brothers/sisters in Christ... not forgetting the job that He has prepared prior to my arrival...
My time in Melb has also taught me to appreciate the things ard me... things which most Spore ppl miss out in the midst of the busyness... Spent sat noon with parents at Botanical gardens, testing out the Olympus Mju800... It was good, looking at all the greenary after 5 days of staring at the computer screen and tall office buildings in the CBD. My life He's change... especially during that last semester in Melb... He taught me so much more, and i am expecting more to come... The changes are not on the external, but more importantly, internal - moulding of the heart is far better than losing 10kgs....
My church groupie is thinking of doing the Terry Fox run ... looking forward to it... but i think i need to start training for it as well... of course we will only be doing the 4km fun run, not the 7.5km one lah...
Went for an evening jog today... i really din expect to bump into him... have not seen him since tha we had a combined event... its been *hmmmm* at least 9 mths? I know that he stays around my area but really din expect to see him again... I decided not to say hi, prob coz i was afraid that he wldn recognise me anymore :(

More perks include my boss letting me drive her car to meetings... she prefers to be driven ard instead of driving... we were joking about adding another job description to my appointment letter.. haha Singapore roads are not as difficult to handle, except for the lane changing part, otherwise its alright.
God IS good, there's no doubt about it... His plans are to prosper us!!!
Its friday!! yeah!! but the list of uncompleted work seems to be getting longer as the day grows... i must try to shorten the list today... ><
Dun understand why my office phone's voicemail indicator keeps blinking despite me clearing all the messages already... hmm have to wait for my IT guy to come bk from his leave next week...

This is my huge cell group and our oikos during West 1 family day... however, our cell leader Eugene is missing in action when this pic was taken... Our one minute skit won the best skit and we brought home a hamper... But i believe the true joy was the time that the cell spent, drawing the signs for the skit during cell on friday... it certainly brought us together :)

feelin sleepy at work... first day at work... all coz we had a fulfilling lunch sponsored by the company... heheh It was a welcome lunch from them...
its nice to start work in an environment where i am familiar with everyone and everything... need to set up my new table.. need to personalise it... fill it with my pics and things... hmm that will take a few days to do so...
