:: Perks ::FINALLY!! the laundromat at my apartments is finally opened!!! dun hv to cart everything over to the gals' place no more!! i must say... there are more perks to communal washin, coz you get to meet ppl (*hint hint cute guys)... i just did...
anyways, i hassle of it is that you have to keep checkin whether its ready and the tot of my clothes going missing kinda scares me...
alrighty, gota go check on my clothes....

Like spendin sat aft here in Melb.. its just a different feelin fr Spore... everyone is so relax, there's no where to rush to, takin time to walk, have a cuppa...
Spent a short time at the ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) this afternoon, very interesting.. was hoping that i could get some inspiration for my design work tha's due next wk... the free exhibition that is on is "World without end"... I wld advise ppl who get seasick easily(yes you, su) to avoid... I felt a bit sick coz it was held in a dark environment with various moving images and sound effects.. i did get out of that exhibition feelin a bit nauseaous, but it was still an interestin visit...
Wanted to visit the Bill Henson photography exhibition at the Ian Potter Centre at NGV but it closes at 5.. it wld be kinda rush so i decided that i shall do it other day...

:: The next phase ::
The reality of me leaving Melb for good in a month is hittin me hard... and i dun know why.. maybe the tot of starting the next phase is just daunting... Though God has provided a great plan for me, its still somewhat scary...
The idea of packing up and shipping everything back within a week after my exams is stressing me out...
strangely enough, I have grown to love the established marketing scene in Aust.. to see how these people have made their companies grow through the application of marketing theories has indeed been inspiring... Last night's guest lecture proved that application of theories does work, and not just something created by people...
Knowing how un-marketing savvy the people (my future clients) may be in Spore errks me... I am not saying that i am a marketing guru.... but me and my msian classmate both agree that people bk home see marketing as just "brand" and "selling"... Its such a small view of wha it really is... They certainly have not caught on the paradigm shift of transactional to relationship marketing.... It would take quite a number of years for the industry to reach the maturity that the Australia industry has achieved...
To the one back home, congrats on your engagement... It must have been a touching scene, sw and I really wished that we could be there to share the joy "live"...

:: Irritated ::I do not understand why tram drivers have to ring their bell continually when a car is in their way (guess only people in Melbourne would understand wha i am talkin about) ... I mean, I am sure the car does not want to be on the tram tracks... like if its trying to take a turn at the junction and unfortunately there's on coming cars from the other direction, and it just so happens that it is on the tram tracks...
Technically, the ringing of the bell should be to warn drivers and pedastrians of danger, like "there's a tram coming, please be careful (or get outta of my way)" but like I am sure they are not deaf!! One ring is enough, what's the point of ringing continually until the car gets out of your way... Have a heart for the poor driver... who i am sure WANTS to get out of the situation asap...
I hear this continual ringing pretty often coz my rm is facing a junction.. and its so irritating!!

:: Knock knock ::I have heard tons of loud knocking from my neighbour... at first i tot that they are tryin to nail things into the wall, but it does not make sense coz we are not allowed to do tha... then last night i realised that the knockin sounded more like them tryin to mince some meat...
the dodgy thing is... i hear it quite regularly!! like every other day.. at different times of the day!! do they really have so much meat to mince?? are they mincin ****** meat?!?!?
Viv and I visited the Camberwell flee market this morning.. they had so many people settin up stalls selling second hand stuff... i bought a couple of nitty gritty things... there's this knitted neck warmer for $8!!! they said their daughter sold the same things in a Chapel St shop for $35!! it was a very good purchase indeed...

:: Graduation ::We brought up the subject of graduation over dinner tonight... The idea of us all graduating in Spore suddenly became very exciting... if some of the thai gals get approval from their parents to have it in Spore (coz graduation ceremonies are not held in Thailand), Anthony and Douglas will come from HK and Shanghai respectively... The idea of us graduating together just might come true!!
Its really quite exciting.. coz we are from different parts of Asia... I am going to miss this bunch of people when i get home... We teach each other our native languages and have great fun laughing over it everytime we try... I pray that we will still be in touch when we return to our own countries...

... to do laundry when you have no more gym attire and towels.
... tha you have been gymin more that usual when you clean gym clothes run out faster.
... P.E are working when you and your group of gal friends experience mood swings at the same time and starts doing silly things.
... that you have been stayin home too much and going out only in gym attire when you take very long to dress up for school coz you could not figure out wha was missing from your usual dress up routine.
... tha you are too caught up countin down the number of assignments when you fail to see that school ends in 3 weeks!!
... tha you really want to go back to Spore as your mind is constantly thinking about the packing and distribution of your stuff. (Dun get me wrong, i love Melb... its just a shock to realise that my time here ends in 6 weeks... all the nice sleeping weather, the SHOPPING!, the gelati
... tha you and your gal friends are really in to *ahem* movies when you guys are excited abt the "Bride and Prejudice" screen on saturday night.
... that I hv not hung on to God when the situation in my life can be summarised as "confused".

:: Partners ::Realised that the advantage of all 5 of us having a gym membership at the same place helps to motive me in visiting the gym more... coz i now have more gym partners!! Not that the previous one was not good.. but due to our busy schedules (are we really tha busy??) or rather different schedules, I have not been gymin much the first half of this semester...
Things are really starting to pick up.... which is good.... all of us wanna get fit (a nicer word than slim) for various reasons which i shall not elaborate here for the fear of my life... and all of us are motivated to work out!!
Do you realise that some songs tha you do not usually listen to (coz they are too loud, too noisy) sounds great when you are at the gym?? Coz they help you to take your mind off whatever exercise you are doing and motivates you further.... hmmm

You would rush home to cook dinner without fail every night.... Makes sure that i have clean clothes to wear... especially when i am in the mood to wear a particular piece sometimes...

The way you fall asleep anywhere and anytime really amazes me, yet with irritation at some point when you do it at the wrong situations....
You would refuse to admit something until daddy and i squeeze it out of you after umpteen questions... and we would all laugh about it....

:: Off they go... ::One wk has passed so quickly!! My parents are currently on the plane, gettin ready to fly back to the hot weather of Singapore...
Though it is really a bad timing for them to come down (tons of upcoming assignments) but i am really glad they came down to visit... Though there had been arguments and unhappiness, i also start to learn more abt them and myself...
Their departure also marks the start of self inflicted house arrest for me (sounds so bad)... coz i have so many readings to do, essays to write and design work to create... I shld either park myself at home, in the library and a small proportion at the gym... I shall refrain fr the main leisure activity: Shopping!!
Rest is much needed tonight before i start my work tomorrow... I need a miracle... I need inspiration....

:: Self driven tours ::Went to visit some wineries at Yarra area today... the place was beautiful!! thank God for the great weather, the beautiful sunshine and nice cool breeze...
At the first winery (Yering station) we saw many lalang-like bushes....Are they lost in the lalang???
As we made our way bk to the city, this beautiful sky view is all i could look at (besides concentrating on the road.. haha)
Somehow, i realise that i have a "thing" for marketing topics related to loyalty programs as well as airlines...
It is written in God's Words that we are to "quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" James 1:19. I have come to realise that this is especially difficult for me throughout this week...A friend once commented that it is even more difficult to exercise patience with people real close to you...I truly understand his statement now... I think its because that we take them for granted...
Lord instill this in me I pray: Slow to anger, Quick to forgive... Let me not to take them for granted... For it is in your commandment to love and honor them....

:: Yawns ::In sch again on a Monday morning *boring*... Doing wha i hate most in this semester: weekly analysis of companies' cases...
Parents are off to Ocean road today... so i get the day "off" hahah... Its bright and sunny out there today, thank God for that... Pray that they have a good time and return with many nice pics!!!
Its really nice of them to come and visit me (though i must admit that i was and still very stressed out by their visit... ) but God has gently reminded me of several things :) and I pray that it will change my attitude from this day forth...
Had a stress attack last night before i went to bed... realised that assignments are piling up and killing me softly (haha a term that we use amongst ourselves in sch).... so much so its starting to scare the crap out of me... worried that i would not be able to complete them all in time...
Lord I need your strength to pull me through... grant me your wisdom... help me to discipline myself to study and focus on my assignments...

:: Travel report ::Went to Philip island yesterday with my parents... gosh the bus ride was only 2 hrs, but it seemed ages!! The penguin parade was good, everyone started leaving after a dozen or so penguins came up the shore... so we started moving forward to catch a better view... We waited patiently for a while and more penguins started coming ashore.. They are so cute!! Too bad we were not able to take photos during the parade... but we took some inside the exhibition hall... Here's my dad tryin to steal one cute penguin home.. hehe
Had lunch at Crown Conservatory today, with Viv and Su joining me and my parents...Check out all the yummy desert!! There was even a chocolate fountain which will harden when you drip it over the ice cream!! *Slurp*

Oh!! We saw Michael Buble at Crown today!! He was there for the Logie awards (some TV award that is like the Australian version of Oscars) We din recognise him till he was in our face.. hahah... quite hilarious... and we din take a pic with him... ><
