:: I can hear you ::
Very clearly for tha matter, coz ee leng and i went for ear candlin (also known as ear coning) yesterday... it was a first experience for both of us though i have heard quite a bit abt it through my friends...

"A special conical candle is inserted into a protective plate . . . The candle is lit and slowly begins to burn. The small tapered end of the candle is gently placed into your ear canal. The ear candle -- by its shape, design and length -- draws ear wax and fungus deposits from deep inside your ear canal.
As the ear candling session progresses, extracted ear wax and fungus will be burned off, but a majority will be collected in the bottom part of the candle. After the candle has burned down and been extinguished, the therapist will cut open the remnant and show you the former contents of your ear canal. Most people cannot believe what has been collected there! Expect to be amazed!"
I actually took pics of the remnants from our candling session, but i'm not posting it here coz i think no one would make out wha it is... its not disgusting lookin, actually they just look like yellow powder.. ashes as they call it...
Back to work today and i am extremely sleepy!!!! *yawnssss* wha's new....

:: Season of feasting ::Tonight I celebrated with another group of beloved friends... my colleagues... over a home made feast... not by any of us, but by elisa's mum... it was fantastic!!! though the christmas menu has been used annually since 1998 (with no additional ingredients) her mum has certainly mastered each and every dish to perfection....
Dinner was served in a rather "formal" way, where the table was set with fine chinaware and every dish served pipping hot from the pot/pan... the atmosphere was certainly different from our usual zhi cha store feasting...
Somehow i feel that my relationship with them is rather different from the rest of my friends... smehow, i dun feel as comfortable/natural with them and i can;t figure out why either... hmmm

:: Its party time!! ::Christmas eve celebration was held at my place last night... will cell members from all 3 cell groups which was multiplied from 1 cell just slightly over a year ago.... its amazing how God moved and grew the cells.... its was more like a sectional gathering.. haha here are sme pics... i am too brain dead to post anything substantial in writing....
I made/bought sme food.... here are the gals hanging round the food table...
Whilst the guys are TOTALLY absorbed by a Tommy Emanuel DVD...
Everyone started to gather... (for wha i can't remember now... hmmmm)

Went for Xmas brunch with Mum and Dad at Pierside kitchen... al fresco dinning.. not too bad.. Thank God for the cool wind....

:: Christmas spirit ::Was cruising down Orchard Rd last night aft my meeting with Rebecca and Sebastian.... Its really different this year (either tha or i have not really done this Christmas walk for sme time) .. its not the lights, its not the dancing christmas trees, its not the late night shopping, nor is it the people tha's walking down the streets that makes the different...
Its in the air.... the Christmas spirit....
Its no longer the people running around doing their last minute shopping that matters....
There are performances along Orchard Rd by the various churches in Singapore... people will stop to watch, give their appreciative applause.... Its not just the spirit of giving this Christmas, its the spirit of Christ's birth... May everyone who walks down that stretch of Orchard, feel the love and joy of God and know that they need Him in His life....
:: Why like tha ::
It suddenly struck me today that the ppl that attend my friend's wedding can be classified as follows:-
MALE Sec Sch/Poly mates: Somehow they look like bengs despite being in shirt and pants... this is not inclusive of the one that is furthering his studies in Brisbane, he looked unbeng...
Msian Poly mates: They still carry with them the Chow Yun Fat hairstyle, the center/side parting with heaps of gel piled on... Maybe coz they are enginneers?? i dun know...
Chinese society poly mates: They still look the same and act with the same rowdyness, they are the more "right" looking bunch, maybe coz they are older? like late 20s....
Disclaimer: the sample size is small, and my classification can only be based on personal observation.... Its not discrimination, just observation....

Went to east coast with the cell members from my section... its really nice to see God building relationships... makes me think even further abt the issues at hand... but then again, i dun need an answer now so just continue to pray abt it...

:: Strangely connected ::There i was sitting happily in the number 7 bus... listening to my MP3 when i decided to look up and out the window... Its the Jelita bus-stop which means i am near home... there was this gal in a bright yellow T-shirt stoning there which looks strangely familiar... oh i recognise her!!
As the bus was rather crowded, i tried dodgin ard trying to get a open space for her to spot me... and she did!!! we wavied madly.. i think the other passengers ard me thought i was siao...
wha were the chances of seeing each other under those circumstances?? were we "connected" to each other, so much so that it made me look out that window.. and it just so happens that she looked into the bus.... :S its unbelievable...
Tha gal is none other than *drum roll pls* Su Ee Wong....
I think i spent too much time with her... hahahah.... oh well there's only 6 mths more and we will be apart *sob*.....

:: Bery Wise Christmas ::Tha is the theme of my office deco... its totally filled with bears!!! BIG ones... small ones... all shapes and colours.... we are all given bear related names as well.... It was initially propose that i am called "Temporary A Bear" since i am only part timing here.... but the decided on "Student Bear" instead... haha
The Christmas spirit is indeed high here... we are all doing the secret santa thingy... everyone is givin each other small little gifts.. the truth will be revealled this Friday... so exciting..

:: Random tots ::Christmas shopping is quite a difficult feat.... You dun know what to buy for those who you are not really close with ... and for those who really understand their wimps and fancies, you go round searchin for ze perfect gift just becoz you know they will like it...
Thank God for the door tha has been closed... and it shall remain closed this time... Just wanna continue building that "sibling-ship" with you, tha's all i ask...
When I am working, I just wanna slack and nua... when I am studying, i wish i was working again... tsk tsk eve make up your mind!!!

:: Post camp photo report ::
The camp started off with eating Durian Chendol (erm not worship hehe)
Day 2 afternoon session started off with action pictures.... wha camp can be complete without these.....
After a day's session, all were eager to hit the mamak stalls for supper!!
We decided to get a gal group photo prior to supper departure....
Everyone fellowshipping over supper... yums... we had roti john, char kuay teow, satay and kuay teow goreng....
Ramly Burger craze
Just before we left the supper place, we realised that the Ramly burger stall was open!! Despite how full we were, we decided that we NEEDED to eat it coz it was our last night there... so we tabao bk to the hotel rooms... let's observe sme "excited" Ramly eating expressions...
Ramly number one fan - Zong Hau (aka ZH or Jay)... see how anxious he was even before his teeth sink into the burger....
Sin Wee... who could not really take the spicy sauce and gulped down her Pepsi...
The ppl who just got bk from their Taiwan trip, brought bk with them a new way to post for pics.... its called "yi er wu" (1-2-5) with your fingers... here's a quick demo by ZH:

:: He is good ::Who else but my heavenly Father.... Church camp was fantastic!!! He poured forth like a mighty river, quenching all the thirst and instilling more desire.... He also spoke into several areas of my life which is very timely... He has even prepared me for these words even several weeks prior to the camp... Will write more in details and show sme fantastic M'sia food pics in my next entry...
Special thanks to YOU who prayed with me tonight... you are indeed a great blessing in my life and i pray that God will lead you into greater heights and use you for greater measures in His kingdom!!!

:: Good old Times ::
Its nice to sit ard, have lunch and speak (or bitch?) of the good/bad/embarassing/sweet times that we had during our secondary sch days on a Sunday afternoon. Its really amazing how the 4 of us has survived our differences and distance in the past 13 years and got to where we are right now...
Sittin amongst the other 3 gals, who are happily attached now... i somehow dun feel the urge for attachment at the moment... my life is packed (in a beautiful way) and singlehood is good (for now).... And until God feels that its time to get out of the "selfish" phrase, I wanna savour every single moment (no pun intended haha)....
I am really excited abt Tracy's weddin this coming 20th Dec.... I guess its special coz a long time friend of mine is finally gettin married... Its just different fr other close friends', its hard to explain this feeling...

:: First Singapore Idol ::Is none other than him......
Taufik bin Batisah
Quite sure tha a number of my friends share the same joy with me on his win... his performance tonight was excellent, and to hear him "live" at the indoor stadium was really a bonus (haha perks of the industry)... it also proved that "live" performace is important for an idol....
I am really happy that the results is wha i wanted... coz i feel tha he has the real talent to represent Singapore at World Idol... okay fine, Sly has the cute smile but i really feel that he cannot carry himself well esp during interviews... shall stop here before i get trashed by Sly's fans... haha... And i only realised today tha Taufik is actually quite cute... but Anthony still tops my list!! Stand aside AM, you are off my list!! haha
The atmosphere at Indoor stadium was really really intense... all the fans were shouting at the top of their lungs..... stompin their feet and wavin those "glow in the dark" sticks... oh well, its been a long day, i will just show some more pics of the evening instead...
