It's been a week since our victory at BKK's MediaWorks IV... And the article was immediatedly updated onto Media's website...

Indeed it was a testimony of God's favor for the win... there were times were i just wanted to give up... coz the team was just not coming together. I thank God for the patience He has taught me, in working with people from other cultural background. That was the biggest lesson learnt from this trip.

Working on a short pitch timeline is something which we do sometimes ( aka last minute due to daily workload) but the challenge was working with people who we hardly know. We dun know each other's strengths, weakness and how each of us can contribute to the team. Thank God for a great mentor, that did not give up on us, and also steered us in the right direction. She was the key element to our win as well. Sweet victory indeed. Made new friends from other countries as well. Am really thankful for the exposure.

Piccies are up on my facebook

Post to the workshop, managed to spend time with my Thai postgrad school mate... took it real slow and enjoyed my days visiting the night floating market and grand palace ( yes its my 4th trip and i have not been there!!) Had a great time snapping away as well. The 2 day extension was really great, not rushing ard but just taking my time soaking in the Thai culture.

Oh yes, will be flying bk to bkk in a week's time. This time to Cha Am holiday inn for church camp. Sabbie and i made a last minute decision - to extend a couple of days in bkk after the camp... now to make the arrangments.

Had a conversation on spending on branded products with a couple of gal friends yesterday... hmmm wld love to spend some $$ on purchasing an expensive branded bag... Sabbie interjected and commented that i spent it all on travelling...which is true, if i am given a choice between a really expensive bag vs a holiday trip, i wld take the trip anytime!!

Just as P Dom preached in the beginning of this year, 2008 shall be a year of new beginnings. Indeed, I am seeing it being fulfilled as the year unfolds.

Will be leaving for BKK in a couple of days, for MediaWorks. To some it may just be an offshore workshop for 3 sleepless nights, to others it is a eye opening platform to learn from peers and leaders in the same industry. Their strategic thinking, execution or even ways of presenting (aka song and dance) is what i am looking forward to. Think i have caught on R2's enthusiasm as he shared abt last year's experience. Am truly excited. Am truly thankful to You who has given me the opportunity.

Little did i know/remember that miss SEW is also travelling for her PHD this week, till i read her blog entry.. wha a coincidence *winks* We will both be stayin at luxury hotels too hahah

Last Friday we were taken by surprise on the release of the Effie's finalist list. My "Bad fats come in many disguises" Nutrition campaign is listed as one of them! To add to the excitement, I wrote the entry submission. Of course R2 had a hand in it, giving me pointers on how to make the entry sound more bombastic (can't find another word to describe it). Another of my client's campaign is also shortlisted in the same category. Nothing can describe how thankful I am. In 2007, i had placed winning an internal award as a career goal. I clearly remembered sharing this at Lcell. Though it is now 2008, I know that it is God's perfect timing for it to take place only now. How great is our God!

Now that is all bright and sunny on this end, there is the other end which seems to remain stationary. P.U.S.H eve, P.U.S.H!
