4 days 3 nights went pass in a flash... Dubai was fun... not becoz of the largest shopping mall, but the great time we spent in the desert on the second day.
We boarded the flight at 2am in the morning, seperated into 2 batches on 2 different flights. After landing at 6am in the morning, we stood for more than half an hour at the immigration of Dubai. Tok abt inefficiency!
We then headed to our service apartment for a quick breakfast. Not everyone had their rms ready yet, hence we all camped in Amy's rm for a quick freshening up before heading out again for a city tour. No rest, no rest....
Jumeirah mosque, Jumeriah Public beach, Burj Al Arab (yes, the famous sail thingy), and the world's biggest shopping mall - Ibn Bhatutta Mall (which had interesting themed sections, but lousy shops)
by the time we went for Dhow dinner cruise, everyone's eyes were droopy and could not stay open. There was no proper rest since Wed night, and it was already friday night.
Second day morning was spent at the Mall of Emirates; not much there either. Guess shopping was not as exciting as claimed. The afternoon was definately something to look forward to, as they had prepared many activities for us in the desert.
1) Teambuilding - Scavanger hunt in the desert? travelling ard in 4 wheel drives. Camel riding, sand buggy (which i din get to ride, the pic was only taken whilst posing), tug of war in the sand.
2)Exciting 4 wheel drive at the sand dunes
3)Catching the sunset
4)Dinner under the stars in the desert, with belly dancing as entertainment. There were activities at various corner of the dinner area: Shisha pipes, Bottled sand making, trying of the Arabi c robes (yes, the kind where you can only see the eyes) and henna
It was a great day and it was definately the highlight of the trip.
The third day was a free day, and as not much planning was done beforehand (for the group of us) we decided to just hit the Gold and Spice souks in the morning, followed by another mall visit in the afternoon.
I would have done more sightseeing as compared to mall shopping (contrary to the believes of some) if i had done more research before heading over. oh well, if am given the choice, i wld visit Dubai again, this time for a historical trip.
oh yes, have i mentioned that the weather is scorching hot? Dry and hot... think Australia summer...

tonight we fly off to Dubai for an incentive trip...
strange as it may sound, eve is spending Easter in a muslim country, hmmm...

It was team building at a new level... one that was set in a very relaxed environment... one that allowed us to get off work on a friday afternoon at 3.30pm and screamed our hearts out...
well, it was the first ever OMDMW Idol competition... whilst other department were well prepared beforehand ie Huge banners, bouquet of flowers, heart shaped fans... all MW brought with us was pure screaming power... yups, there was no fancy schmacy things, just true blue sincere support.
At the end of the day, it was all that matters.
All i ask for is U-N-I-T-Y
which is smething that is very much still W.I.P
It happens that last friday also marks the last day that MW had a total staff strength of 8. Tha number had just increased as of this monday... another new addition to 31st flr of Springleaf tower.
