The bunch of us decided to do a gal's formal dinner to celebrate the starting of the semester (despite me being in the second week already) .... everyone will doll up nicely in dresses or dress pants, head off the Grand Hyatt for a seafood dinner... oh so fun!!! can't wait for it to happen... alrighty need to go doll myself up now... will post pictures later... *wheeeeee* (swirling around with my dress...)

I AM SOOOO LOST!!! crap crap crap... looks like i need to spend sme time here in the labs tryin out on my own.... so so rusty on the Mac... used to hv Hendra to help me on my projects.. now no more Hendra.. *sob sob* help!!! *whine whine whine*

:: Rusty ::Am in the Mac lab of the design buildin, scannin the storyboards tha my partner passed to me... sigh i realised tha i am rather rusty at both Macs and the softwares like freehand, photoshop blah blah blah... also need to do the self tutorials for Final Pro Cut (FCP for short)... not in the mood or ability to do it today *yawn* very sleepy... think will head to the library for a short research on my "passion" text project, which i hv to present my storyboard on tmrw.... and head hm for a nap...
oh yes, hv to cook my stew also for cell dinner tonight... hmmm jam packed day again... *pass me sme peanut butter to go with it pls.... corny..*

:: Long, Long day ::It has been a long long day for me today... and it will be another tmrw... Can't believe it coz its only second week of sch and its been this hectic... Was at Uni at 9am this morning!! All for a grp discussion with the multimedia students for the storyboard tha is due this thu... crap we dun even know wha is expected of us to present on that day, except for the fact tha it has to be in digital format... *grumble grumble* Not only tha, i hv a personal storyboard tha is due on thu as well!! double crap.... why why why ?!?! its only second wk of sch and i am stressed out already... *tearin hair* oh well...
:: We must 'be' senior marketers ::
Had a great presentation for Assessing Marketing performance today... thank God we managed to get some discussion going amongst the grp members.. our lecturer was very pleased with it... it was actually quite stressful as we were all told to think like senior marketers... hmmm its quite a difficult task i must say... sigh hv to push myself to think strategically and analytically... one thing tha my ex boss said to me...

Surprisingly this is one of the few things she said tha i will keep in my mind.. hahah
:: Another long day tmrw ::
as i said tmrw is another long day... i hv to be at uni at 8.30am in the morning!! and i am not tokin abt Mel uni which is 10 mins walk away fr my place.. i am tokin abt Caulfield Monash - 30 mins train ride!!! arrgghhh... coz i hv to meet my grp member at tha time.. it was the only time tha both of us are available.. so i guess no choice... i am beginning to become a morning person now... dun know whether tha was good thing or not...
*my trail of tots were interrupted by Gie and Chad giving me a sweet surprise.... a yummy choc cake fr Brunetti... for a belated bday celebration....i like this kind of interruptions.. hehe... thanks babe, thanks dude... luv yah loads..*
Special congrats to VC for his nasi-lemak-house shop opening today (finally!!) . Went down to give him support ... four of us decided to tabao and eat in the park.. firstly coz it was too PACKED at his shop and secondly, weather was nice and sunny so it was suitable for a winter picnic.. here's a pic of me and lou

Was checking out the CAE website for the timeslots of the french classes... all tha was available was tue to thu and tha totally clashed with the nights tha i hv sch on... crap... maybe they will open up more classes in a couple mths time.. will check bk then...
:: Computer addict ::
its come to my attention that i am so reliant on my comp and internet here in Mel, life in Spore is so totally not like this... i wld spend more time on TV, chatting and hanging out with friends and parents bk hm... oh well, minus the family the friends and TV are still easily available and accessable... just different "types" and "genres" if you get wha i mean...
Think i spend too much time on the comp... need to go on a cold turkey program, but wha else is there to do?? oh yes, catch up with my reading... many books tha i hv wanted to read but hv not really gotten down to it..
Still cannot get over tha roller coaster feeling... everytime i set my foot down on stopping it, smeone or smething will happen to deter it....smeone smack me hard pls... so tha i can stop it once and for all (if it is in God's will......)

:: Love me if you dare ::Haha realised tha i watched this french show on the plane unknowingly... Gie was telling me tha she was watching it on the plane and it was in a french name... i was like "hey I watched tha too!!, so it was the one tha i hv been wantin to watch.. " haha... speakin of which, i need to head down to CAE to check out the french classes... maybe next time i wld be able to understand it without readin the subtitles.. haha
Had been eating soooo much in Spore tha I hv put on the weight i hv lost previously.. crap crap crap... now i hv to loose even more weight coz I hv too look good for my sec best friend wedding in Dec... well at least i wld not be doin it alone, rite su? haha I shld be searchin for that dress in a couple of mths time.. yeah!! shoppin again, this time with a special motivation...

Watched King Arthur with Gie and Chad last night at Crown... must say it was not too bad at all.. worth spending tha $11.5 AUD... kinda regret not watchin it in Spore before i return, but then again my schedule was so packed, it was impossible... haha...
I must say tha the show displayed wha is lacking in most men of the modern days... the bravery and loyalty to the other "brothers" which they hv gone through multiple battles and victory with... dispite being given their freedom to return home, the knights could not bear to watch their commander fight his battle alone... they all decided to fight alongside with him, facing the possibility of death... wld the modern day men do tha?? are we all too self centred to be self sacrificial? hmmm....

As I was just complaining that there are lack of arty farty cute guys in my multimedia unit... out comes a cute "ang moh" guy in my Marketing Innovation unit last night... we were told to all stand up, turn ard and face the class.. and *ting* there he was in a sky blue T-shirt, certainly made me more interested in going for this class (yah rite)... haha
Hmmm nothing major happenings here today.. haha except a WARM welcome to Gie and Chad bk here.. my hse would not be filled only with my typing noise only..

:: Camera - shoot, produce ::Yes!! finally an interesting unit to brighten up my semester.... had my first lecture, tutorial and studio for the design unit that I am doing - Digital Video/Audio...
Managed to drag myself out of bed at 7.15 am this morning to make it for this class.. walked in the cold and foggy weather of 8 degrees to the train station... thank goodness i had a good breakfast coz the lecturer did not give us any break and we ended at 1pm... everyone was starving!!! but it was certainly worth it...
Let's try Su's famous list of 10 statements on the topic:
1) Arty farty lecturers which i feel speaks my language of creativity. Hmmm no cute arty farty guy insight though, tha would certainly be an incentive...
2) Great studio set up with all the lighting and equipment... reminded me of the time i did a studio photography in my undergrad... but this time is bigger and nicer... They showed us how lighting should be done to capture the best possible visuals and how to manually adjust the settings on the camera to get our desired effect. Get to use technical stuff like Canon video camcorder..just like the ones in the TV studio!! how cool is tha!!
3) The studio has this green wall thingy so tha we can do the superimpose thing like the weather report... cool rite.. too bad it does not cover part of the floorin as well, so we are advised to take half body shots only...
4) The lecturer will be there during our studio timing to help us shoot for our assignment...Aft shootin, they will teach us how to do editing and adding audio and effects. The final outcome - a short clip!! cool... next time we can edit the MTVs tha we take already.. muahaha.. no need for 'live' music anymore...
5) Statement of the day: "try not to pan the camera to much for starters, coz it will draw attention to the camera itself. The idea is to stay focused on the subject and let the subject tell the story for you...."
6) New software to learn: Final Pro Cut 3.... muahahah Gotta start lookin for the PC version of the software so that I can install on my laptop, any idea who wld hv?? (i think i know... haha)
7) My parents better start saving up... incase i get to involved in this unit and ask for a digital video camcorder for X'mas.. opps!!!
8) Two story boards due next week~~!!! arrgghhh time to move those creative juices again... hmm need a sketch book for my tot processes and journal as well.. Very assignment based so will take up more time than stupid marketing units... but at least i am interested in it and will not be a drag doing... hahah
9) thought it may be mornin lecture, but i think i will be kept awake coz they are mostly showing videos/productions in the lect....
10) Realised tha i can do all the above writing in a paragraph instead of pt form coz sme of them overlaps... Here i did it!! (Also realised tha everytime the last pt is very fei coz everyone dun wanna think anymore.. haha)
Also decided not to get my dad to purchase my textbk fr Spore.. coz managed to get them second hand here.. the new ones are so EX my goodness!! can cost an arm and leg... and i dun really need to refer them tha much....
:: Virus attack ::
Hv not really been able to log on to the internet at hm coz i realised that I hv a trojan virus on my new laptop!! *ARRGGHHH* Thanks to VC for givin sme suggestions on how to clear it... will prob bring my laptop to Eddie for a quick checkup, pray tha everythin will be right soon... sigh...

:: Goodbye sunshine, hello gloomness ::Its bk to the cold cold gloomy gloomy weather of Melbourne. Its quite obvious that some ppl were celebrating my departure (actually only one) haha... my plane was actually delayed for an hour!! Firstly, sme seats were double assigned and the ground staff had to come onboard to resolve it. Secondly, there was such a long queue of planes waiting to take off along the runway!! never seen so many planes lining up, there were close to like 10!! fell asleep waiting for the plane to take off.. haha...
Realised tha i had so many things to blog abt my holiday bk in Spore, but due to the hassel of dialling-up to the net bk hm, i decided to do away with it.. will tok abt one last major event: sat aft and night. my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ decided that I shld sing my "final" heart out before i go on karaoke "cold turkey" for the next 4 mths in Melbourne... so the first event was to sing, sing and erm sing... After dinner we decided to hang out at Labrador park, ate Magnums and "blow sea wind".... suddenly, I whipped out my lastest travelling companion - my trusty Nikon digi cam and urged everyone to strike poses...

:: First day of second sem ::
Went for my first class tonight and i already hate it!!! hahaha... its Accessing Marketing Performance.... At first i tot it would be a breeze coz its just learnin methods abt marketing performance.. how naive was i!! the major assignment is to do a marketing audit of a company!! crap!! nightmare nightmare.. on top of it, my group was chosen to do our presentation next week!! double crap!!
Not a good start.. but pray that the rest of the units would be better... can't wait to start on my video and audio editing unit... yeah!!

:: Weird Workouts ::Went to fitness first today, had to do smething abt the large amt of food tha i had eaten over the past couple of weeks... lookin at the schedule for the day, ABT class was the most appropriate timing.. so i decided to give it a try.
Hv not been to one ABT before, my gosh!! nearly killed me in the warm-up section... the instructor was quite a weird guy, kept encouraging the attendees to moan and groan when we are in pain... 99% of the us were females and his moaning certainly sounded quite gross!!!!
Anyway, decided tha i shld try out body balance aft ABT... turned out quite well i must say, smething different from pilates... with bigger flowing movements.

Was in Bintan over last weekend, it was a good 2 day relaxing getaway... will post sme

Yeah i finally got a new comp!! oh well, its another Fujitsu but its half the weight!! yeah yeah, puttin in the new softwares and testing out the new functions!!
Time really flies, will be going bk on Monday already... sob sob... But i thank God that it has been a fruitful and eventful holiday

:: Birthday celebration yesterday ::Nope not mine anymore lah, passed for so long already... its my earthly king's, my dadddddyyyy.....Went for a nice jap spread at Tonkichi.. yumsss...and i baked a cake for him as well, as others would describe "wen nuan" brand... hahah it did not turn out as good as i would like it to be, the hand mixer (which my mum had for years) suddenly started to smoke when i was putting the cake mix in the oven!!! I was so afraid that it would explode in me face *ah!!*
:: More Hawker food ::
Oh well, my parents decided to give the one mth event "Glutton square" a go yesterday night.. guess wha.. after queuing up for like half and hour, my family and i managed to eat the fried oyster omelette... an illustration of how long the queue is, here it is.. pic of my dad and the distance to the stall....

A number of us decided to choose today to go cycling at East Coast park, but alas!! it was raining the whole aft, did not manage to get any wheels rolling at all... we decided to do indoor sports instead, bowling and playing pool... here are sme pics

:: Week of errands ::Its only been a week since i am bk... and i feel that i hv been bk for such a long time!! partly because i had completed so many things packin all the errands in the first week so that i can relax a bit in the remaindin 3 weeks.
Here;s a quick list of things that i hv done in the past few days:
1) Watched "Best Bet" (a local production, by Jack Neo) on monday night. I personally dun feel that it is as good as sme of my family and friends claimed... quite a disappointment i must say.
2) Went for my first Jazz class at Fitness first... hmmm the instructor is quite cute i must say... nice toned petite bod.. opps i think i was distracted haha... we learned a short routine of "saturday night fever" haha it was quite an experience, not sure if su would be interested though, think Hip hop is more for her....
3) Was out with my Perth cell members on Wed night... went for nice dinner at the Esplanade, al fresco dinning.. with the wind blowing in our faces (and dinner)... then we adjourned to the ever delicious Max Brenner... yumsss..... here are sme pics of us enjoying the pancakes and fondue (hey SMK, this is what the real fondue should be....hehe)

Besides chocs, we had a good time of sharing... quite a pity that Lyd could not be there with us....
4) Went bk to my ex-company (OMD) on Thu aft and spend quite a couple of hours catching up with everyone... it was nice to see familiar faces, yet its also quite shocking to see that a whole dept was nearly "overhauled" with 80% new ppl....
5) Watched "Spider-man 2" on the opening day!! yeah!! still not used to paying for movie tickets coz we would get free tics for movies in my previous job.. (oh well, one of the few perks) It is quite good i must say... must go watch okie...
6) Got my contacts and new glasses done... yeah!! got my hair done today too!! quite shocked tha my hairstylist still remembers me aft 3 mths, tot that he had so many customers tha i was just another one of them.... viv came along and got her haircut too... hope she is happy with it...
7) Met up with my Sec school friends tonight... had a mini binge at tiong bahru market with Yun only coz the other 2 are on diets... tsk tsk.. heheh.. they bought me a slice of cheese cake and we had a mini celebration at tiong bahru plaza MacDonalds.. hehe... oh yes they gave me a spa voucher.. I can go for a much needed massage now... yesh!!
alrighty gota rest soon... got another packed day comin up tmrw.. meetin ppl and meetin ppl...
