:: Sydney report ::WARNING!!! The following photo entry is filled with food pics, so do not read it when you are hungry... (note: this is my second attempt to blog this entry.... the first one failed coz my stupid internet disconnected just as i clicked "publish blog" ><) As we set foot on Sydney domestic airport at 9 am, all teary eyed due to the lack of sleep from the previous night.... we found our first source of motivation!! The ever famous Krispy Kreme donuts!!!
We were on sugar high!!!
After checking in to Sydney Central YHA and taking a long nap.... we decided to visit Circular Quay where we took so many pics with the Opera House and Harbour bridge... This is one of my fav pics...
Lou and i chilled out whilst Su took a tour to the inside of Opera House... These guys were playin at the cafe and they are great!! a couple of people even started to dance to their music...
We adjourned to Hard Rock for dinner, hving their famous ribs and starter platter... check out the decor....
Visited Paddy's Market on Day 2 before heading off to Hillsong's Easter special service at Fox Studios... Delirious? and Sonic Flood were the special guest for this evening.... Sin Wee and her friend Nami joined us...
Dessert and night sightseeing at Darling Harbour was scheduled after dinner... Su was fairly amused by the boat taxi...
and even more amused by the fantastic ice-cream served at Passionflower... We can't wait to sink our spoons into it!!
We started Day 3 early inorder to catch the fresh seafood at Fish Market... This was only part 1 of our spread... we got second helpings of sashimi and oysters... yums....
I really could not close my mouth.. hahah
Clear skies and nice yachts to compliment the fresh seafood....
A historical trip was up next... We visited the Barracks, one of the oldest building build by the convicts.... It provided them place for rest and food after a hard day's work and not being locked up.... In one of the rooms, they made a wooden shadows of some motorious convicts and listed their punishment... can you find Su in there smewhere??
Next stop: Parliment house..
And a quick walk through the famous QVB before we headed to Royal Easter Show...
Sin Wee, Nami and Dan came along as well...
and we got ourselves number plates!! It was also my bday prezzie to Sin Wee.. hehe
After all the rides, games and fireworks... we headed bk to the city for a fantastic Korean BBQ dinner.. nothing beats hving korean food with a korean gal (Nami) coz she knows wha to order!!
When you put Sin Wee and Eve together, we always hv to do our fav hobby (everyone is Spore say:) - Karaoke!!
We spent our last day in Sydney nuaing... chilling out at cafes and taking the ferry to see the famous icons again...
Before we headed home, it was mandatory that we tabao Krispy Kreme bk to Melb... yums... what we started the trip with was the last thing we bought before we boarded the plane....

:: I need a nap... ::Before i wake up in a couple of hrs time to catch my flight to Sydney... dun ask why so "last minute" again mummy... i was working on an assignment and thus the delay... so that at least one assignment is finished before i enjoy the start of my holiday...
some holiday this is...
not that i am not lookin forward to Sydney, i really am.... just tha i dread wha comes after the trip.. the 1000 wrd assignment that is due the aft easter break, which i hv to read tons of academic journal articles (at least 15 pg per article) before writing it... the list of assignment goes on till end of semester, with at least one sumission each week, some even two!!! arrrgghhh *faintz*
"Not by might, not by power, but by the spirit of God" indeed will be my foundation to bring me through the rest of the semester after this holiday...

Went to two events on sat... Watched La Sylphide (left) in the afternoon at State Theatre....

The Sylph of the Highlands
La Sylphide is the story of a young Scottish farmer, James, who is visited by the Sylphide – a tree fairy –on the eve of his wedding to Effie. He is enchanted by her, and follows her away into the woods.
The evil witch Madge gives him a magic shawl to put around the Sylphide’s shoulders to transform her into human form, but it is a trick. When the shawl is placed around her shoulders, the Sylphide’s wings fall off and she dies.
In falling in love with this otherworldly beauty James has destroyed his chances of happiness in the real world: he returns to discover that Effie is now engaged to his cousin Gurn.
It was a beautiful experience, makes me more determine to finish off my Grade 8 when i get back to Spore...
Met up with the rest of the gals in the evening and headed to the Franklin Graham rally (right) called Festival Victoria at Telstra Dome, where ard 800 churches in Victoria came together for this evangelistic event.... We got to see Guy Sebastian perform live... I must say his voice control is really good...
Eve got bored at night and decided to take the following shots from her bedside window....

Just a crazy thought that crossed my mind today... is it possible to stay young forever, not just the number game of growin older, but stay in the current state of young mind??
to live this kind of carefree lifestyle, doing what i like (all this within the boundries of God's will of course), to always be daddy's (and mummy's) gal {which i think they will argue that i will always be their gal no matter how old i am}, to maintain this level of high energy always...
but then again maturity is part of growing older... moving on is part of life....
oh well, just let me indulge in these young tots for today....

:: Yesh we are going!!! ::It is official.. Chop sign seal...Lou Su and I are going to Sydney during the easter break... tickets and hotel rm booked.... all we need to do now is to plan our daily sightseeing...
:: Finally?? ::
I think i have finally gotten you out of my system... at least i am quite sure abt that for now...
The wireless internet is really driving me nuts!! It connects and discons as and when it fancies... this is especially so at night... i have no problems with it in the day... think its due to the lower traffic and usage... Pray that they will get it all fixed soon, coz its really quite frustrating...
On the other hand, i thank God that at least i am able to connect to the internet.. some of my neighbours are facing major problems with theirs, like not being able to connect to the internet at all, think its some problems with the coverage of the wireless.. really really pray that it will be all up and working soon... that's the problem with new apartments when everything is not up as yet....

The F1 race was in town a couple weekends back... went to see it on a free entry day... the were testing the Porsches when we were there...
Viv accompanied me despite her long day at sch...
Check out my paste on tattoo haha... they were giving it out at Federation Square... the "race" gal who put it on me gave me the "you are not a cute ang moh guy, so you dun really deserve this" attitude... but who cares!! hahah so long i got my tattoo....

Forgot to mention that all of us except Viv are stayin on the 5th flr of various apartments... *diaong*

:: Internet at long long last ::
Finally i have internet in the comfort of my own home... when i say home i mean ANYWHERE in my home.... coz everyone in my apartment subscribes to one and only one service provider and it is wireless... however its not very reliable at the moment and the speed is rather slow... oh well, i will give it a day or two...
gettin it connected has been a long and tedious story... was waitin for the technicion to help me set up my connection but he has decided to go for a lunch break, telling us to come bk aft half an hour... aft half an hour he was no where to be seen, apparently making arrangments for the phone line... so i decided to park myself there...
aft nearly 2 hrs, i decided to give my laptop a final try... and guess wha it got connected!! all becoz i choose a different factor as compared to the previous times i tried... all that waitin for nothing.. crap... their instructions are just so not clear...
oh well, at least i made a couple of new friends in this apartment...

To blog... it seems that the lack of internet at home has left me dry on the blogging front... not that life here is not interesting anymore, just hmmm can't be bothered with the nitty gritty details... there are pics to put up, but it just too much of a hassle to upload it onto my thumb drive and blog it when its available...
oh well, stuck in sch again with a long 4 hr break... at least i hv tonight's tutorial assignment to complete as a goal...
not been gymin much, with all the cough and falling sick feeling, its just too much of a drag....
on the bright side, we went to watch the fireworks of the Moomba festival on its openin night.... everyone was carrying their winning soft toys (Kermit, Spongebob and Carebears) in the city... not really keen to play the games but may go if the gals are going...

:: Monday blue blue blue ::
Was informed last week that my thursday 10am class has been shifted to MONDAY 9AM!!! arrrgghhh.... its a one hr lecture and then i have to wait till 12pm for the tutorial... on top of that, i have a mega break between 2pm to 6pm... wha a hole-ly day...
oh well, looking on the bright side, my 2 day school week still remains...
As i look at my assignment chart throughout the coming 14 weeks, its gonna be a hectic semester, starting NOW....
Things that i planned to do, but will NOT be doing:
1) Learning a third language
2) Dancing classes
Things that i am still planning to do:
1) Go to Sydney in Easter.
2) Go to Perth this semester with either Mediawise/OMD ppl (if the company trip destination is there) or with Belle and Ade.
3) Find a slot or available wk for my parents to come down and visit Melb.
Its gonna be a cold cold winter i presume, since its like 21 degrees max now and its not even autumn yet.... bbbrrrrrrr......
