:: hmmmm ::Showing signs that i am running out of ideas for titles... anyways... I watched The Sweetest Thing on TV (yes yes, i am turing into a couch potato that watches whatever that is available on TV) and this quote struck a chord in my heart:

hmmm...... I think I might have been guilty of it before... haha
Parents are in town today yeah!! Tmrw we'll be heading to Philip Island, freezing our ass off by the beach at night, just to watch penguins parade up to the island... *duh* but i am still lookin forward to it anyway.... haha packed extra clothing for my parents incase they get really cold...

:: Relationship marketing ::
Went to sch earlier today with intentions to park myself in the library to do work before my relationship marketing class.... but ended up hanging out with my classmates... we were all from different countries, so we were teaching each other our languages... being S'porean i could understand quite a few languages like Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese... The new languages that i learnt today was Shanghainess and Malay (a couple of new words to add to my very limited Malay vocab haha) We had a great time learning off each other...
We consider the time spent as building relationship with other culture... hahah so much for appling what we learnt in class...
Got bk my long awaited results for my design project... I only got a credit!!! >.< Lost quite a bit of points for my fonts being too small... which i only realised after my submission, so i could not do anything about it, if only i had realised it earlier...

My relationship marketing lecturer is Brit... some pronouncation which i can't help but notice on certain words he uses are...

:: Xie Xie ::Spent the afternoon and night at Su and Lou's place.... to do laundry!!! Dun understand why the stupid laundromat at my apartment is not ready yet... Anyway, its not the main subject of this entry...
Just wanna thank you gals for letting me do laundry at your place for the past couple of months (yes it has been that long)... for helping lug it over to your place, as well as driving me home with fresh clean laundry....
There is so much tutorial work to complete before next monday, however i am just not in the mood to do it.... its not good, i need more motivation!!!
Watched In Good Company last night, not too bad actually... the ending was not the usual typical one but it kinda left me at "wha?" ..... I could somewhat relate to the movie coz it was set in the marketing/advertising scene.... I could recognise all the marketing jargons been "casually" thrown into the dialogue... (Quite like how Su would be able to relate to Medical Investigators better than i do)
it was about this young (someone my age), successful guy who was at his career peak... unfortunately, the rest of his world began to crumble.... he managed to find a "mentor" who unknowningly showed him that he could get out of life than just career and wealth....
It was something worth watching....

:: ANZAC day ::It's significance....
"On 25 April 1915, eight months into the First World War, Allied soldiers landed on the shores of the Gallipoli peninsula. This was Turkish territory that formed part of Germany's ally, the Ottoman Empire. The troops were there as part of a plan to open the Dardanelles Strait to the Allied fleets, allowing them to threaten the Ottoman capital Constantinople (now Istanbul) and, it was hoped, force a Turkish surrender. The Allied forces encountered unexpectedly strong resistance from the Turks, and both sides suffered enormous loss of life.

Although Anzac Day, the anniversary of the first day of conflict, does not mark a military triumph, it does remind us of a very important episode in New Zealand's history. It was a beautiful weather today, sun shines with light breeze.... we were bored so we decided to walk down to Brunswick, all for the sake of ice-cream... as well as the need to get out of the hse and not let the beautiful weather go to waste...

:: Roadtrip!!! ::Since it was the long weekend (yes monday is a public holiday which our universities recognises, finally!!) and we all have had a hard week... we decided to reward ourselves with a day out to Mornington Peninsula, to enjoy some fresh air and nice scenary...
Erm.. though the day did not start or end off fantastically right of some of us *mishaps mishaps* but i really enjoyed the day!!!
We had too much of:
1) Strawberries
2) Icecream
3) Karaoke songs which we usually sing.. haha *special credit mention to jason for puttin up with that.. haha*
I am really really tired... hope you guys enjoy these beautiful pics!!

Me and my strawberries... for those who do not know, strawberries are grown on shrubs, not trees... hehe The shrubs may look nice and green here, but in actual fact filled with flies, ants, bees and other insects... You actually have to push the leaves around to reveal the strawberries, and sometimes you may find something unpleasant ie rotten ones... *yucks*
My pick for the day... a tub filled with sweet juicy strawberries... Will try to freeze some of them for you okie mummy... hopefully they will last till you come down next week!!!
We managed to catch a beautiful sunset at Dromana... Where the beach is lined with colorful small beach house, stretching all the way to McCrae.... This is me posing with the sun in my palms... haha

:: It is finished ::After not stepping out of the house for more than 48 hrs over the wkend.. and mugging infront of the computer... i finally finished my major assignment for Case Studies... But that does not mark the start of relaxation yet... things on my plate for the coming week:
- Design project: screen shots of my chosen topic... this looks like it may be extended, i am not sure yet, din attend last wk's class >,< so i will email my lecturer instead. If so that means i can spend more time with my parents when they are down in Melb!!
- Presentation
- Two (blerdy) case studies: I so hate them, they are such a pain....
Everyone is complaining that this last semester is so difficult... on the other hand, i thank God that i have made new friends in Uni... they helped me to be more diligent/consistent with my assignments and classes... haha On top of that, they are smart so we bounce off positive vibes to each other (i receving it most of the time haha)... and they are a great bunch to hang out with!!!

:: Lousy programs ::Friday night programing is really bad in Australia... probably coz no one watches it.. but still, they should try to run some nice programs!! Thank Goodness we dun do that to our TV audiences in Singapore...
I turned on the TV as background sound as i was workin on my assignment tonight... all there was on TV was either 1) Sports 2) Porno-like programs - I really hv no idea why!! 3) Programs that are vulgarities filled - meaning the 4 letter word
You really wonder what they fill the minds of the people here, especially the younger generation... I am glad that the censorship cap back home is strict....

:: Singapore just got smaller ::I was checkin out some of the msn pictures and realised that my colleague placed a new one of her bf and herself... i hv never seen her bf before so i clicked on it to get a better view... to my surprise he looked very familiar, one of my secondary sch seniors whom i kinda know back in those days....
I decided to ask her... and she confirmed it!!! He even remembers me... *diaong*

This is the final artwork which i submitted this morning.. i am actually quite happy with it considering its my first attempt at Illustrator... Its suppose to be a Windows media player skin for those who have yet to figure it out... haha... the playlist at the bottom is retractable with the click of the button...
The competition is quite tough as well... hv seen quite a few classmate's works... think its gonna be tough... oh well, they are multimedia student, whilst i am only a marketing student... haha

:: Night adventure ::We wanted to see the night lights of the whole of Melb from the top of a mountain so we happily trooped off to Basin Olinda... unfortunately it was closed by the time we reached there... we din expect that it was an actual park, and had the misconception that it was just some mountain top view (kinda like Mt Faber).... we tried to sneak in through some fences, but was discovered coz our car was blocking the main gate haha...
We decided to take pics since we were already there....

:: Surrendering ::At times we know that we really need to surrender all to the Lord... but somehow we still do not see a breakthrough in things after we have declared it... Maybe its becoz we hv not truly made Jesus Lord over each and every area in our lives?
Stormie Omartian, author of "The Power of a Praying Woman" says that surrendering everything means willing to say, "Lord, whatever You want me to do I'll do it. I say yes to anything You ask of me, even it means dying to myself and my desires. I give up the things of the flesh that I want in order to have more of You in my life."
Surrendering is not a easy task, why? Omaritian says that "its because we want what we want and we're afraid of what God might ask of us." We tend to forget that God only wants the best for us...
"God doesn't want just part of you. He wants it all."
Lord, teach me to release all into Your mighty hands.. my desires, my wants coz only You know wha is best for your children.... Grant me child-like faith...
To you, you are not just a statistic... You will grow to a new level where you will hang on even more tightly to Him...
And to you, all it takes is that step of faith... all it takes is to ask...
