I would recommend for you gals to read it... and truly understand why God made us the way we are...

Wednesday, July 27, 2005 Starting work in a few day's time... sigh... kinda not lookin forward to it, its not the job, just working.. full time that is, i rather work part-time... and have the freedom to do the things that i like... I realise that i wanna complete so many things when i am young:- Finish Grade 8 Ballet - Salsa Dancing - Keyboard lessons - Learn a third language - Travel!! to countries which i have not been before.. to suck in the beautiful sights of God's creation. It's finally over This time its for real this time It's been too long but i have never looked back since then You made me realise wha i really want though it may not be you but He has someone for me He has someone for you too and its not me But i am not upset coz you are still special becoz of who you are
Tuesday, July 26, 2005 :: New stage, new look ::for my room that is... ordered a new bookshelf and wardrobe a week before i left for Bangkok and its coming tmrw. Have been busy packing up things from the old furniture so that it can be removed to make way for the new ones tmrw. Went through quite a number of cards, letters and old diaries. Was giggling away whilst reading the old entries, especially the ones when i was 12 going to 13... about my classmates, crushes and family tours. I also realised that i received a bday card each year from my parents, except for my 25th and 26th bday (well, i did get a softcopy one). Looking at tons of the cards that i had, i feel really blessed by the people who has sent it. Some of which i have totally lost contact with, others are still close to my heart and meet on a occasional basis. I'm glad i had this clean-out. Guess we all need it at some part of our lives. On the other hand, i realised with my new coloured hair, i no longer have the same hairstyle as Su!! yeah!!
Monday, July 25, 2005 :: BKK report ::It was a great trip!! Special thanks to Chanida who drove me ard, ate with me, negotiated for me and took me into her own house... It was really different from all the other trips that i have taken. Coz staying with her family allowed me truly understand the lifestyles of Thais... Thanks gal! We ate practically every waking moment!! till we could eat no further... haha coz there are delicious snacks sold everywhere tha we went and they are so cheap! like 40 or 80 cents.. i had a huge jumbu fruit at $1.60, but it was so huge i nearly had prob finishing it!! the desert snacks we just simply good!! and since she just got bk from Melb, Chanida had no probs eating all these snacks that she has missed for the past few months. Two truly amazing things which i learnt abt Thailand from this trip is: 1) Thailand drivers really have no respect for traffic rules. They are bad drivers becoz there are so many cars on the low quality roads. They also drive on newly made expressways which has yet has its lines drawn, in a messy way that is. 2) They also set their cars in neutral mode with their handbrakes down when they are parked. This is to enable others to push their car, which is blocking the other cars, along so that other cars can be manuvered out of their lots. Its really quite amazing!! they can thus park their car, blocking others when there is lack of parking space. On the first night at BKK, we decided to park along the road side. Unfortunately, we got a ticket for that!! Chanida was sayin she has previously parked in tha area and had no had any problems. Oh well, the fine was only 12 sing dollars, but i had to "take the blame" coz i she din bring her license haha... It was a fun trip, ate more things than i had shopped... here are the photos...
![]() A drive to see city lights before we head to dinner. This is one of the many temples in Bangkok. ![]()
![]() my pretty host for BKK - Chanida. This is the before picture prior to the hair color that we are getting done the next day... ![]()
![]() First stop: Zhao San road... apparently its a tourist spot with night market... there are tons of backpackers around the area... which is why you see more caucasians ard.. ![]()
![]() Famished from the flight, here are 2 out of 3 dishes that we had for dinner upon my arrival. The one on the left is fried fish meat and on the right is fried whole cat fish soaked in tom yum gravy. It was simply yums!! these two with a papaya salad came up to only $20 Sing dollars!! We were absolutely filled aft the meal... ![]()
![]() This is the place where i rested from all the shopping.. all thanks to my special host, Chanida!! Plan for 2 day in BKK: Ancient City followed by Hair Salon and then Phat Pong for night market shopping. ![]()
![]() One of the "villages" in Ancient City... ![]()
![]() Ancient City (Muang Boran) is a great place for photography... the place is huge!! We took ard 2 hrs to cover that place by car!! It is a place where they exhibit replicas of historical buildings, museums, monuments and etc. They also had food stalls in this particular village, we were eating non-stop as we walked through this section. ![]()
![]() Princess eve showing off her palace *erm its actually a replica of a temple* hehe ![]()
![]() New hair do!!! I got a colour+highlight+treatment all for 60 sing dollars!! tha's really cheap for my standards hehe... however, their skill for highlighting is not that good, i got huge big streaks instead of tiny ones... so it may look a bit "lian-ish" >< Chanida got a cut and colour too.. her hair was jetblack if you compare it to the previous pics... ![]()
![]() Dinner after a long sitting of 3 hrs in the salon... ![]()
![]() Sat: Slept in real late.. and then head to the famous Chatuchak market for 4 hrs. The stuffy alleys, plus the hot and wet weather made us all very tired after a short time.. It was absolute crowded.. We came bk with great stuff from there though hehe ![]()
![]() One last pic before i leave for the airport... The one on the right is Chanida's mum, i had such a fun time trying to communicate with her with my ultra limited teochew vocabs. Thank God i had two translators - Chanida and her sister.. who was mostly around when i tok to their mum... News Flash: She specially dolled herself up that morning to take this picture with me!! ![]()
Thursday, July 21, 2005 Its quite amusing to find out that everyone's been in hiding, waiting for other people to appear before revealing their real status. Its a waiting game... and in the end if one does not take the initiative to make the first move, both parties wld still be in hiding and wld not be able to relay important information... right su and lou? hahaam off to bangkok for the wkend... stayin at Chanida's place... will post pics soon... watch this space!!
Wednesday, July 20, 2005 ![]() Met up with the remaining Melb gals before they head bk... Brought them to the nice vtea place at Esplanade where Gie, Su and I had a nice cuppa afternoon tea a number of days bk... Lou just landed tonight, bk from China and leavin for Melb on Sat.. Viv flying off tmrw morning to Melb... and me tmrw aft to bangkok till Sunday... this was the only window period that we can all meet up... though short, it was nice evening... ![]()
Monday, July 18, 2005 I can't decide wha's worst...1) rainy and cold winter OR 2) rainy and humid at this moment, i am disliking the second one... with this weather, i rather stay at home... just finished my CSI season 5.. so i guess the next option is jap series...
Sunday, July 17, 2005 :: Disappearence :: "Above all else, guard your heart" Prov 4:23 As John Eldredge says, we need to care for our hearts each and every single day... We do it in order for us to love better, to serve others better. If we do not learn to love ourselves first, how are we to love others? How can any outpouring come out of a dried empty vessel.... On sat, i just felt like being a hermit, stayin at home, not arrangin to meet anyone... Solitude and silence is my choice of caring for my heart... I do miss the morning and sunset view from the window of my room... Cool breez and holding a cup of warm tea... oh well, i just have to find other ways and things to appreciate here in Spore... I will find it hehe.. may it be the simplistic things of music, nature, viewing different forms of art or just a nice chat over meals with gfs... What is high-maintenance? The Melb gals are going bk to start their sem... i can only see them in 4 mths time... *sob sob* I know that God has placed them in my life for a purpose (and vice versa) and this relationship will continue to grow even as they are a distance away.... I know that God will do great things in them and through them even in their last undergrad semester!!
Thursday, July 14, 2005 :: PTL!! ::Results are out... *phew* i can graduate!!! Thank God for the great semester... its the best ever in my academic life (must understand tha I am not a very academic driven person, which was why i chose marketing) ... I am happy.. does anyone wanna do PhD with me?? heheh
Wednesday, July 13, 2005 I am so confused by the many charity shows on TV that i dun know which prog is for which organisation.... it does not help that they run many repeat epis....
Tuesday, July 12, 2005 :: Updates updates ::been back for a couple of days from Perth... but have been staying at Guilin, where communication with the rest of the world is only through mobile phone... Perth trip was good.. though i must say that it was different from wha i had expected it to be... God really spoke into other areas of my life... am also more sure of where He wants me to be in the upcoming months... 3 wks of holiday (or bumming as sme may say) is long for others whilst i think its too short for me!! haha I have the rest of my life to work!! so i think i shld take a break whilst i can rite? I wld agree with Su's review that War of the World is not worth watching... its absolutely predictable but if you love effects and stuff, go for it...
![]() me, Ade and Belle after a meal of fish and chips at Freo *slurp* ![]()
![]() We went for horseback riding... it was a beautiful afternoon PTL! sunny with cool breeze... wild kangaroo sightings as value add haha...it was all good except our horses seem to like moving real slow instead of trotting or galoping along the beaches which i was really lookin forward to.. ![]()
![]() I love this pic... it looks as though the clouds were the leaves of the trees... cotton trees?? haha ![]()
![]() We did an overnight stay at Margaret River... on our way down there, it was kinda cloudy yet sunny at times... there were sightings of rainbows like this throughout our 3 hr drive there... how amazin!!! ![]()
![]() Mammoth caves at Margaret River.. a beautiful place to spent a quiet afternoon ![]()
![]() MTV shot in the forest area...as requested by ZH... hahha ![]()
